Dream 924 – “I Am Your Answer”

Communion
Dear Father,
Thank You! Thank You for Your tenderness for me. I’m very weak these days. This move has been fairly typical of moves–uncertainty and chaos. I kept things upbeat and light hearted as much as I could but I hit a breaking point.
One song kept going through my head with these lyrics, “goodbye yesterday, I’m living in the light of a new day”. The former things are not finished yet and I still have so much to wrap up.
I’m a widow and I still forget this. I keep thinking I’ll see Jeff in a few days or that I can phone him. His death didn’t come with instructions. Father, I can testify to Your greatness–You have cared for me in uncertainty.
I had my Telehealth visit with my kidney oncologist and I’m not in the clear yet until I have a scan which was somehow left off my last visit in Houlton. I am praying I am able to get this quickly.
The home sale is not finished yet and there have been several steps involved to wrap up the home. Even though it was listed “as is”, it’s annoying how all of that is ignored. I pray the sale goes through quickly as I must fly back up to New Brunswick to finish paperwork and complete this chapter of a very difficult book.
This whole ordeal has left me a different person all together…
We are living in a rental currently and the people in our neighborhood have been so friendly and welcoming. I have had conversations with a few of my neighbors and they are missing You, Father. You can have the whole world but without You have nothing.
My dreams have been returning again and I’m so thankful to You. Help me to have quiet moments to hear You speak. There is no sweeter voice than Yours. When I’m scared in this storm, when thunder rolls and lightening comes, and torrential rain–I hear You whisper, “Erin, I love you, I am here, this will pass, I promise you!” Then the storm blows over me and I even forget how bad it was because You are here. I love You, Father.
I am scared but You say, “don’t be afraid”. So, today make me strong, brave and fearless.
There is so much to know and more than I can remember. There are days which end quickly and others which never seem to end–like a nightmare.
The good news is my children are adjusting here and seem very excited about different things. My daughter has made friends at church and she seems so happy to be here. My youngest son is adjusting to the change but the moving of things here was a difficult thing. The majority of our furniture–about 12 items–won’t even be loaded on a truck until Monday and it could be another week before we receive these belongings, like our dining table and chairs. My devotional chair came with no cushions–I’m hoping it comes soon.
Father, thank You for this beautiful place. Keep me focused on what Your plan is for me here. There is much to do.
It’s so difficult because I am now thrust into a new normal which is anything but. We have left behind so much. Not just material things but the beautiful land of the trees and all the birds and animals who visited me there. I will see all of them one last time and will say my final goodbyes. I have a small portion of Jeff’s ashes given to me from the funeral home which was “left-over”, so I will go out to the beautiful path Jeff had created and scatter the tiny amount there.
Speak to me again, Father. Strengthen me so I am able to finish the task You put before me. Whatever You decide… Who knows, maybe You will turn and have me keep our home there–like I once heard You say before things turned badly there. I don’t know–You can do anything.
I feel that our home You built was special as You were there with us. But You know what is best for Your sons and daughters, so I will trust You, Father. You made my path, the way You fashioned it and I will continue to walk Your ways in it.
Sub-dream 1 “The Final Inspection” begins…
In my dream I returned to our old home and an angel of the Lord was there with me. He walked with me through each room to finish my inspection. I prayed and blessed the beautiful home.
The angels face was bright and shining but he remained silent. I think it was Breakthrough because when I went outside to walk to the feeders I heard a whistle and all the birds and animals I know came to visit one last time.
I turned to look at the angel and he was gone.
Sub-dream 1 over…
It’s painful Father. Why did all this sorrow have to come? Why couldn’t…never mind.
Jesus: “I’m here, Erin. I’m with you. I know you worry about many things. I know you have been in mourning and have lost so many great gains.”
Me: “Lord, I am poor in spirit as well as broken. This has been so difficult just to go this far. There are giants in this land. I see them. Please continue to make a way for us–for me. I’m so uncertain navigating all of this and barely able to breathe.”
Jesus: “Yes, I know. One day you will know what I have saved you from. But for now, you must allow me to carry you. I have you. I am God and above me there is no other. I own the cattle on a thousand hills and every good thing. So, I promise to remove you from the state you are in currently. Your grieving will turn to dancing.
“You will dance as you did in your youth. Remember, I am with you–you dance with Me. Though this period of darkness is long–I promise you there will be a breaking of the dawn. God is within you, you, Erin, will not fall, I will help you at the break of day.
“Your joy is coming. Forget the former things. Do not pause on the former path. I am doing a new thing. I will provide for you a new spring of living water. I will refresh you and place a new spirit in you.”
Me: “This is Psalm 46 and Isaiah 43:1-21, Lord.”
Jesus: “My Word is your lamp but more than this, I am your Answer. I am who I say I am. I love you, Erin. My promises are true.
“Now, do not worry! I will send you help with every need. All the advisors will be sent to take you to the right way. I will advise you on the ways you should go–do not worry!”
