Dream 948 – New Shoes

Communion
Dear Father,
Thank You for another day here! Thank You for all You do for me, Father! As a child of God I sit in complete joy and wonder at Your love! You are in full control of all things in the Earth and in Heaven! Nothing is apart from You except sin and evil! But even this, too, You see.
I’m grateful for my journey with You. It’s been tragic and magic throughout this walk of life. With every twist and turn and rocky incline–You, Father, carry me through it all. You make level the way for my steps and I’m in awe!
You are the God who steps in at the last moment but always right on time, every time. If I testify of every miracle You have given to me, no one would believe it. No one questions a new age practitioner of the world–in fact these are revered and elevated, but a child of God who writes down the messages of God and dreams You send is considered sketchy and questioned beyond what would be normal even for a typical Christian. Since You are my Savior, my Husband, my Creator, and Best Friend, I give my life to You!
The last two dreams I had involve shoes…
Sub-dream 1 “New Shoe Delivery” begins…
I heard a knock on the front door and I opened the door to see who it was. There, on my doorstep was a package addressed to me but no sender. Not even an Amazon label or anything. At first, I hesitated to open it, but felt a strong sudden urgency to from the Holy Spirit. I proceeded to use a box cutter and opened it.
It was a white shoe box inside of brown packaging. I thought to myself, “I don’t really need shoes…” Then, when I lifted the lid inside was a card which read, “Erin, you will need these!” With a heart beside it. It was beautiful handwritten script. I pulled back the tissue paper and laughed–there was a pair of black steel-toed work boots that were heavy duty, almost like combat boots.
I decided to put them on. I started with my right foot and they fit perfectly. I went to put on the left foot and suddenly felt a divine strength and warmth reverberation as if these were divine. These huge clunky shoes fit perfectly. I was asking the Lord what this meant when I woke up.
Sub-dream 1 over…
Sub-dream 2 “Shoes To Fill” begins…
I had gathered up shoes I didn’t even know I owned–all shapes and colors for different occasions. I decided I didn’t need them anymore so I wanted to give them to charity. A few pairs were old and worn so I threw these away. Anything I wouldn’t wear myself I decided should be thrown in the trash, destined for the land fill. I proceeded to gather all the shoes I had for donation and separate these from those destined for the waste.
The good shoes went into a very large linen canvas bag. The others went into a black plastic trash bag. I still had twelve pairs in my closet which I chose to keep and I was wearing a wonderfully comfortable pair of pink tennis shoes. I looked in my closet as I picked up the canvas shoe bag. What remained made me smile. I kept my favorite ones. (What I was looking at in my dream I didn’t own in reality).
I labelled the shoes for different instances. One pair for walking, one pair for running, one pair for working, one pair for rain, one pair for snow, one pair for summer, one pair for joyful occasions, one pair for church, one pair for the house, one pair for hiking, and one pair for any occasion.
Then I realized I counted eleven pairs on the shelf but I knew I had twelve–this is because I was wearing the twelfth pair which was pink. It was my pair for this day, for this task.
Instead of driving to the charity center, I decided to walk with the large canvas bag. It was a bit of a struggle, but finally I arrived and gave it to the attendant. The man opened the canvas bag.
Man: “These are practically brand new. What happened for you to give this to us as a donation?”
Me: “These weren’t the shoes I was to fill. I had no occasions for them and instead of joy, they brought me heaviness over time. In fact, I didn’t even remember that I once purchased them and for what purpose. So, I needed to let go of the former shoes.”
Man: “Hmm…These are more than shoes for you. Maybe the seasons you had planned to wear them during?”
Me: “Maybe, only God knows. I’m excited for what He has left for me. The shoes I’m wearing actually fit me, so I’m ready to say goodbye to the unnecessary shoes.”
We laughed and he handed me a receipt as proof of my giving.
Man: “Thank you for the shoes, ma’am. Be blessed on your journey.”
Me: “Thank you!”
I turned and began to walk home. As I did, the rains came and I became soaked by the time I arrived home. As I opened my front door, I was instantly dried off, including my shoes.
Sub-dream 2 over…
Father, it seems as if changes are coming. Please strengthen me for what comes. I love You! Over the years I have owned probably 100 pairs of shoes. Now, all I desire is to fill the shoes You would have for me. I love You!
Jesus: “I am here, Erin. Beautiful are the feet who bring good news. When you go out, you will wear comfortable shoes in uncomfortable places.”
Me: “Lord, it seems I have been doing this lately. You have called me to testify with some who are so far from You. It’s been a long time. I’m a bit behind.”
Jesus: “No, you are not. When I call you, go out! You are ready as I have called you. I know you are ready even if you are insecure. Give this to Me. Erin, I am with you in your comings and goings; your ins and outs and your ups and downs. I have sent people to assist you when you have needs and you know they are from Me because they bear good news. The enemy longs to bring bad news to stoke fear and despair. I can send people who can give good reports of the promises I have given to you. I can send doctors to read your reports and give you the good news of healing. I can send good news of the home I have built for you. I send these things and also bring the way for this. I am the God of the impossible made possible. I am the Way Maker.
“So, you need not worry for anything, even when the world calls out things which seem fearful. I have taken you this far. This is the place of your heart where I first changed you. It’s where I began to deconstruct the things in you which were no longer beneficial and it is here where your heart was broken. Here though, is where I started and ignited the shock which re-charged your life. The forestry board was here, the gate was here, Erin.”
Me: “Lord, I’m meeting with several people I once knew next week and a new friend who lost her home in the California fires. Please help me to say the right words. I’m also going to my cleansing stream retreat tomorrow, where we enter the cleansing streams. Please slough off anything left and renew my spirit. I love You, Lord and I want to make You smile.”
Jesus: “These things are good, Erin. These are necessary for the new shoes I have sent you to wear, which means a new calling; a great change of course. This is good! I will not remove your dreams, instead all that you have been given will be multiplied. Enjoy your day today, continue on and pray when you go out. I am here with you. Do not worry.”
Me: “Thank You, Lord!”
